Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak have gained her widespread popularity during the 21st Century. Swift discovered a love for musical instruments as a young person and swiftly progressed from participating in kids' shows, before making her first appearance public. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and next year, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. Swift was a singer who took ideas from Shania's music and that of the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world in country music wrote the original songs she wrote to express her feelings of alienation. Swift's family relocated into Tennessee from Pennsylvania at the age of 13so she could be able to spend more time pursuing the country music label in Nashville.
