Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She took home at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina last fought against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she faced Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a hiatus to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior strike techniques in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her debut fight. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner over the next three fights beating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
